Biography

Overview

Born on December 27, 1965, Salman Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, singer and television personality. Salman is the eldest son of the famous writer Salim Khan. Salman khan stated his acting carrier in Bollywood by the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988), where he did the supporting role. The main success he gain from the movie Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) where he performed as the leading role in the movie. The journey he stated on 1988 is still continue and in the span of these years he worked in more than 80 movies. Salman khan is the box office King of Bollywood with 14 movies in 100 crores club, 5 movies in 200 crores club and 3 movies in 300 crores club. Also, he worked in many T.V reality shows like 10 ka dum and Bigg Boss which he is hosting for 10 years.

Apart from acting career he do charity by Being Human Foundation, that provides education and healthcare services for the underprivileged people in India. In 1998 he was arrested by the police on the allegation of killing black buck and the case is still running in the court. In 2002 again Salman khan came into headline for bad reason and this time it was alleged that he crashed his Land Cruiser near American Express bakery in Bandra, killing one man and injuring and many people there.

Early Life & Family

Salman Khan completed his schooling at St. Stanislaus High school in Bandra, Mumbai like his younger brothers Arbaaz and Sohail. Previously, he studied at The Scindia School, Gwalior for few years. He attended St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai but dropped out and he moved towards acting school and he worked as an assistant director. He had written three scripts before he became an actor.

Salim Khan is the father of Salman. Salim khan is married to two ladies, his first wife is Salma Khan and Mother of Salman, second is Helen Richardson and she is step mother of Salman. Salman has two younger bothers Sohail khan and Arbaaz khan. Arbaaz khan was married to actress model Malaika Arora.

They have a son, Arhaan but now the couple has got divorced. sohail Khan is an Indian actor, director and producer who married to Seema Sachdev and they have two sons named Nirvaan and Yohan. Salman has two younger sisters Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Sharma. Alvira is Fashion designer, who married to actor- producer Atul Agnihotri. They have two children named Alizeh and Ayaan. Arpita was adopted by Salim Khan, after he found her weeping on the street next to her mother who had died due to an accident. She is married to Aayush Sharma and they have two children named Ahil and Ayat.

Relationship

Salman is not only famous for his movie but also for his relationships. Salman is still single but he was in many relationships, through out his career. The Relationship with Aishwarya Rai is the most talked news of that time. The actors fell in love on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘ Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. But, parents of Aishwarya was not happy with their daughter’s relationship with Salman. Salman was so obsessed with her and he wanted to marry her. However, Aishwarya was not ready to marry him on that phase of career and this end up in the ugliest breakup. It was reported on that time that Salman did physical violence with Aish and her co actors.

Before Aishwarya, Salman was in talk with Sangeeta Bijlani and both couple had decided to get married even the wedding card was distributed on that time. However, the wedding never happened. Sangeeta , in a later interview, went onto say that she was upset with Salman’s infidelity and said that he wasn’t worth marrying.

The relationship between Salman and Katrina kaif  is also one of the famous love life story of Salman. In the wedding of Arpita, Salman had publicly  spoken on their past relationship as he confessed that katrina you missed the chance of being katrina khan. On that time she was in relationship with Ranbir kapoor but their relationship did not last for long time and both Ranbir and Katrina broke up. Currently Katrina and Salman are single and both are good friends. Now a day’s it is a rumour that Salman and Lulia Vantur dating. Salman and Lulia , a Romanian actor singer, have never confirmed their relationship but they have often been spotted together.

Salman Khan is the only actor in Bollywood to have 3 movies in the club of 300 crores. His first movie was Bajrangi Bhaijaan which entered this  club in 2015 when it was massive hit and collected 320.24 crores. Sultan, is the second movie which surpass the 300 crores mark and in 2017 , Tiger Zinda Hai has touched the 300 corores mark once again.

Till now Salman Khan has worked in more than 80 movies and many of them are super hit in box office. Some of the movies for which Salman gets appreciation from public are Dabangg, Kick, Wanted, Bodyguard, Tere Naam, Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Jai Ho , Karan Arjun, Anda Apna Apna and many more. Not only in Big Screen Salman is also popular in small screen.

He is the host of reality game show Bigg Boss, he is hosting this for 10 years. Current season of Bigg Boss is touching the highest TRP of the history of Bigg Boss. Specially, Weekend ka waar with Salman Khan is getting the immense support from the audience. Salman also worked in t.v game show 10 ka dum, this reality game show is also one of Salman’s successful work in small screen.

Controversies/Affairs

On 28 September 2002, Salman Khan was arrested on Hit-and-run case after his car ran into a bakery in Mumbai; one person who was sleeping on the pavement outside the bakery died and three were injured in the accident. According to the eye witness Salman was in driving seat on the time of accident and later it is also found that he was in high influence of alcohol on that time.

His driver Ashok singh, who  had given the testimony that he himself was driving the car on that day, was charged with prejury for misguinding the Court with false testimony and was arrested. In December 2015, Salman was accquitted of all charges from this case due to lack of proper evidence. The Supreme Court on 5 July 2018 admitted a plea by the Maharashtra government that challenged the acquittal of Salman Khan in this case.

On 26 September 1998, Salman khan is alleged to have hunted two Chinkaras ( Black Buck ). The incident took place when actors Salman Khan, Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Sonali Bendre were present there to shoot ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ movie. Salman khan Was arrested for hunting endangered species but granted bail after 5 days. Time to time Salman was asked for hearing in the court.

On 5 April 2018, the Jodhpur court’s final verdict came, Salman Khan gets 5-year jail term and Rs 10,000 penalty. The other actors walked free. On 7 April 2018, Salman khan was granted bail by a district and sessions court in Jodhpur. As per reports, he spent two nights in the jail and then got the bail on a bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of the amount.
