Overview

Born in 14 March 1965, Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan is an Indian actor, director, filmmaker, producer and television talk show host. He is also known as a Mr. perfection for his consistent performances and intelligent choice of scripts. In 1973 Aamir Khan began his acting career with a role in the hit drama ‘Yaadon Ki baaraat’, he was only 8 year when he debut in film industry. However, Aamir debuted as a lead actor in ‘Qayamat se qayamaat tak’ (1988). He debut as a film producer with ‘ Lagaan’, which came out to be great success for Aamir as this was nominated for 74th Academy Awards. With the movie ‘ Taare Zameen Par’ Aamir debut in directorial field.

Aamir nominated for many awards but he does not attend any award ceremony as he feels that Indian film awards lack credibility. Aamir khan movie ‘Dangal’ is the first Indian film to make over Rs 2000 crores worldwide. Aamir is well known actor in china as his movie Dangal earned more than one thousand crores only in china.

Beside acting, he has also been an official ambassador of UNICEF. He has a son with his second wife, Kiran rao through surrogacy and he also became a spokesperson for Invitro Fertilisation after this. With the Indian television talk show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ he marked debut in small screen industry. The show focuses on sensitive social issues prevalent in India.

Early Life & Family

Aamir completed his pre-primary education from J.B. Petit School. He studied in St. Anne’s High School, Mumbai, for 1st to 8th class, he completed his 9th and 10th year at Bombay Scottish School. He played tennis in state level championship and became a state-level champion. He completed his twelfth grade from Mumbai’s Narsee Monjee College. Aamir’s parents did not want him to work in films, instead they were wishing that he would pursue a steady career as an engineer or doctor. After completing high school, Aamir decided to discontinue studying, he stated to work as an assistant director to Nasir Hussain on the Hindi films Manzil Manzil (1984) and Zabardast.

Aamir is son of Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain, Aamir is the eldest of all four siblings. His younger brother is Faisal Khan who is also an actor. Farhat and Nikhat khan are his younger sisters. Imran khan is his nephew. He has three children with two wives. Aamir did two marriage. He first got married on 18 April 1986 with Reema Dutta. He has two kids with his first wife Junaid Khan and Ira khan. But in December 2002, Aamir filed for divorce, Reema took the custody of both children. On 28 December 2005, Aamir married to Kiran Rao. He met kiran during the film Lagan, she was an assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker. And on 5 December 2011, Azad Rao khan was born through a surrogate mother.

Relationship

Aamir began his career in Bollywood as a complete chocolate boy with a huge female fan following. It was reported that Aamir was madly in love with Reena that he had even written her a love letter with his blood. Aamir and Reena Dutta used to live in just opposite buildings and their windows were exact opposites of each other. They both used to stare each other from the windows, Aamir confessed his love for her many time but she used to reject such proposal. Finally, on April 18, 1986 Aamir and Reena got married. Soon after, Aamir and Reena were blessed with two children, Junaid and Ira. Aamir’s linkup reports with his co-stars affected Reena and Aamir’s marriage.

Amir and Reena had a peaceful divorce in 2002 with no ugly arguments. Reena took the custody of both the children. Now a days still, both have good bonding and they help each other in taking decision regarding their children.

Few years after his divorce suddenly Amir hit the headline again for linkup rumours with a British journalist, Jessica Hines. It is also said that Aamir has a love child with jessica, named Jaan. Soon things went sour between them and Jessica moved back to London. Aamir met his second wife Kiran Rao on the set of movie ‘Lagaan’, who was working as an assistant director to the film’s director. Aamir is now happily married to Kiran Rao and the couple is blessed with an adorable son, Azad via surrogacy. There is one more news in market that Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aamir in relationship but both never spoken in this matter yet.

Controversies/Affairs

Aamir Khan’s comment on intolerance in India had created a lot’s of hate against him. He had stated in a conference that his wife Kiran Rao feels unsafe in the country and wants him to leave the country. After this statement people started giving their opinion on social media and politicians slammed Aamir for being so ungrateful towards his mother nation.

Following the chaos, Snap deal refused to renew their contract. Later, Aamir issued a statement saying that he has no intention of shifting  to a different country. He said, “I feel fortunate being  born here and this is where i am staying.

There was a time when Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir khan were not on talking terms. Earlier, Aamir wrote a blog in which he mentioned, Shahrukh was licking his feet while he was feeding biscuits to his  dog name Shahrukh. Aamir later revealed that the dog was named after SRK by the caretakers of his house. It was reported on that time that Aamir deliberately link Shahrukh name with dog because of bitter relations between them. However, later everything’s shorted out and now both are good friends, we can see them together in events and party happily greeting each other.
