Overview
Alicia Viaknder is a Swedish Actress, Producer, and Dancer. She Made her on-screen Debut from a TV Drama Second Avenue and after than in 2009 appeared in film pure in the lead role. After that, she appeared in several movies but she is best known for The Danish Girl(2016), A Royal Affair(2013), Testament Of Youth(2014).
She wanted to be a dancer at first and attended Dance school to learn ballet dance at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm, and the School of American Ballet in New York. She told in an interview that she always wanted to be a dancer but injuries and her back surgery had other plans and because of that, she decided to pursue a career in acting.
Early Life & Family
She was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden by her single mother after her parents separated when she was 2 months old. She has 5 half-siblings on her father’s side, and even though her parents were separated when she was so young, she never had to miss any one of them and she had the best of both worlds growing up as she was her mother’s only child and hence the apple of her eye. Besides that, she used to visit her father every week or two and spend time with him and her half-siblings. Her ancestry is Swedish and one-quarter Finnish.
When she was seven years old she appeared in a stage drama produced by Kristina Fran Duvemåla at The Goteborg Opera, which was written by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson from ABBA, performing in the play for three-and-a-half years. Besides that, she appeared in several musicals too at the opera and in 1997 appeared in kids singing TV show Småstjärnorna.
At the age of 16, she decided to leave the school as she discovered her passion for acting and she had also made her peace with the fact that thanks to her injuries, she couldn’t have a career in dancing. She also applied to drama school twice but didn’t make it. however, this couldn’t stop her from achieving her dream and finally made it to Hollywood.
Relationships
Alicia is not known for having several relationships. In 2014 she started dating Michael Fassbinder, who she met on the sets of the movie “The Light Between Oceans” which was shot in Australia and New Zealand. They dated for 3 years and finally tied the knot secretly in late 2017.
Other than that, there were rumors that in 2014 before meeting Fassbinder she was with Alexander Skarsgård but she was never seen publicly with him and she denied all the rumors too.

She first appeared in a TV show called the first avenue in 2007 and her debut movie was pure(2009). After that, she featured in a lot of famous and blockbuster movies including “A Royal Affair” for which she had to learn danish because even though she didn’t know how to speak the language, which was very important for her role, she was the perfect fit for the role, and the same was proved soon after the release of the movie as she was highly appreciated for that.

She is not known for dating much in her life. In fact, according to sources ever since she stepped into Hollywood she has dated only two men i.e Alexander Skarsgård (she still denies that they ever dated) and her current husband Michael Fassbinder.
As strange as it may sound for a Hollywood actress but she has never been involved much in controversies and affairs.
